Reluctant readers of all ages and those reading below grade level are sure to have fun while they improve their reading skills with Famous People, Places, and Events. Eighty-eight intriguing short stories, guaranteed to hold the reader's attention, are followed by questions designed to reinforce specific reading skills. The basic skills focused on are: finding main ideas, detecting sequences, finding facts, locating answers, vocabulary and word analysis, making inferences, and more! To assist a variety of students, this sequential book is arranged according to the difficulty of each story's reading level. The first group of stories have a reading level of 1.8-2.5. The next group of stories have a reading level of 2.5-3.0. The final group of stories range between 3.0-3.8.
