The Cross Reference Edition is a unique reference tool. Entries appear in both side margins, alongside the biblical text, allowing for greater depth of information than in a conventional center column setting. The cross reference system is designed to link passages referred to for similarity of subject, idea or expression; passages referred to by explanation or illustration; quotations from the Old Testament; historical and geographical references; and, allusions between the Old and New Testaments.
