This book provides challenging, realistic, humorous, sometimes even whimsical problems. Each problem was carefully created to develop critical thinking skills and problem-solving strategies. Students are required to use mathematical ideas and conceptsto find solutions to the problems that are created by the stories presented. A wide variety of computational skills including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percents is reinforced. Each story is followed by thought-provoking and engagingquestions.
